An act relating to the process of letting go of teachers

Be it enacted by the Youth Model Legislature of the State of New Jersey that when the school is under extreme financial restraints (due to lack of state aid or etc.)

In this case, tenure is defined as three working years plus one full day of teaching

When tenured teachers need to be let go of, they will be monitored by members of the local Board of Education for one full week of work. These members will fill out an evaluation created by the local Board of Education

The teachers with students scoring lowest on the evaluation will be the first to be let go of.

After the evaluation, an exam created and administered by the Board of Education will be given to the students in that given teacher's class

Statement of Intent: The purpose of this Bill is to find an effective way of letting go of teachers without detracting from the learning experience for students and without being a significant financial burden on the school

Effective Date: This Bill shall take effect at the beginning of the new school year for each school (i.e. if a school year begins on September 8th, the bill will take effect September 8th)

Financial Statement: About $1,000,000 for rewriting the law books and administering the tests
