all facilities which perform abortions that are licensed in New Jersey must show a State aprroved video which shows the process of an abortion through an ultrasound.

Section I:
|
All facilities that perform abortions must have a state approved video that explain the process of aborting a child through an ultrasound.
|

Section II:
|
The department of Health and Human Services will approve the video.
|
|
Section III:
|
Each facility is required three videos on one DVD, a different video for each trimester.
|

Section IV:
|
The expecting mother must be shown the video for the trimester she is in.
|
|
Section V:
|
If the expecting mother refuses to view the video which corresponds to her trimester, she will not be given an abortion.
|
|
Section VI:
|
A member of the Health and Human Services Department will complete a routine check of the facility and its records every six months to ensure that the law is being followed.
|
|
Section VII:
|
All first offence violations will result in a $5,000.00 fine.
|
|
Section VIII:
|
All second offences will result in the license to the facility being revoked.
|
|
Section IX:
|
If the is license to the facility is revoked due to failure to comply with the law, the Department of Health and Human Services will take control of the facility and sell it to another busniess.

Section X:
|
All revinue from the sale will go the state.
|
|
Section XI:
|
This law will take effect January 1, 2011.

| Statement of Intent: The purpose of this Bill is to inform expecting mothers of the procedure of an abortion before they undergo the surgery.
Effective Date: This Bill shall take effect January 1, 2011
Financial Statement: This bill, which includes the cost for these videos, residstibution of law books and all other excess charges that apply will cost $7,000.00.
