An act relating to changing the school budget system in New Jersey to allow school district to bypass a town vote when lowering or not changing the school budget.

Be it enacted by the Youth Model Legislature of the State of New Jersey that any school district that proposes a budget with a change of zero, or a change to lower the budget will not be voted upon by the town.

Section I: When a school district is creating their school budget and decides to lower the budget or decides to change it by 0% a special proposal is created.

Section II: If a school district proposes such a budget, it will automatically be adopted, bypassing a public vote.

     
Statement of Intent: The purpose of this Bill is to give more freedom and flexibility to each individual school district, and to reward districts who do not purpose tax increases to their citizens. This bill will address the current crics of escalating taxes throughout our state.

Effective Date: This Bill shall take effect for the school after becoming law.

Financial Statement: This bill’s financial situation is allocated by the treasury.
